During Bay Area Maker Faire this year, Sylvia and I happened to meet one of the founders of MakerBot Industries, Bre Pettis! (A more thoroughly awesome dude you would be hard-pressed to meet).
All yesterday (about 14 hours) I was PA on set of for the trailer of the new movie Before 12. Just installed the XDCAM EX browser, and the very first clip I open, I nearly fall on the floor laughing. Lets see if you can spot it...

I was thinking about halloween a while ago, and I thought about Vampires, and tricking a real person into drinking a blood drink. But instead of drawing a vampire and a person, one paying, one giving, I instead did a poster.
Once again, the Fourth of July has come to town, and I've come packing my Canon Powershot in search of... something. Pictures of fireworks are always tricky and you're never gauranteed to get anything useful, or even something nice. This year turned out pretty well, and think I owe some of my good luck to the CHDK, the swiss army knife of powershot hacks...
Back in 2003... there was a cat.. not just any cat! A local cat.. a nice cat.. a sweet little purr-monger with kitty-aids (feline leukemia). For some reason i took to him. Was it the look in his eyes? Those soft little whiskers? or..
Labcoat procured! Only ~$40 from LabPro in sunnyvale (thx @1lenore). It's a little long, almost fits! Now off to #MakerFaire education day

@1lenore Perhaps @biocuriouslab also has a miniaturizer we can stick one in.. most labcoats fit like a circus tent on @MakerSylvia :P
